Vice President Sara Duterte topped the people's preference for the presidency in the 2028 elections, according to survey results from Oculum Research and Analytics.

Based on the survey conducted from June 25 to June 30, 2024, Vice President Duterte received a 25.4% voter preference, making her the "top presidential contender" in the survey.

Senator Raffy Tulfo ranked second in the survey with 18.5 percent, while 10.6 percent chose former vice president Leni Robredo.

They were followed by Senator Imee Marcos with 5.7 percent, former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno with 4.8 percent, and former Senator Manny Pacquiao with 3.1 percent.

Senator Risa Hontiveros came in with 2.9 percent, Senator Robin Padilla with 2.6 percent, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez with 0.8 percent.

Approximately 20.4 percent of respondents said they remain undecided, while 4.3 percent answered "none of the above."

For the Vice President position, Tulfo edged out former President Rodrigo Duterte for the top spot, securing 20 percent, which is four percentage points higher than Duterte.

Robredo followed with 7 percent, while Domagoso, Hontiveros, and Senator Bong Go each garnered 6 percent.

“Inday Sara Duterte emerges as the current frontrunner with widespread support, particularly in Mindanao. Senator Raffy Tulfo, while second overall, shows a broad appeal across various regions. Former VP Leni Robredo, although third, has concentrated support in Southern Luzon,” said Dr. RacidonBernarte, Oculum Research Head and Managing Director of the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators Inc. (APCoRE).

“The high percentage of undecided voters and those opting for none of the above highlights potential volatility and opportunities for candidates to sway the electorate as the election approaches,” Bernales said.

The 2024 second-quarter national survey was conducted from June 25 to 30, 2024, by Oculum Research and Analytics in collaboration with APCoRE, a professional organization of academics and researchers, Areopagus Communications Inc., and PressOne.PH.

A total of 1,200 respondents aged 18 and above were interviewed face-to-face. The survey had a margin of error of ±3 percentage points and a confidence level of 95 percent.
