There seem to be more juicy bits beyond Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla's revelations during recent media interviews.

It was explosive enough to say that the Office of the President chartered the silver Gulfstream jet with tail number RP-C5219 to transport former president Rodrigo Roas Duterte to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.

This came a few days after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s late-night press briefing, minutes after the plane in which the former President was forcibly whisked into left.

Marcos Jr. defended the Philippine government's involvement in the arrest of former President Duterte, asserting that the action was taken in accordance with the nation's obligations to Interpol.

What was not disclosed was that the original plan was for Duterte to be brought to Camp Crame or the Veterans Memorial Medical Center. Thereafter, a total lockdown of all camps will allegedly be imposed.

Plans took a sudden turn when a plane was already on standby to transport Duterte to the ICC headquarters in The Hague.

Though admitting that OP paid for the chartered flight, Remulla did not say who its owner was.

Rumors point to Rep. Zaldy Co, but he quickly denied ownership. Inside sources later floated the name of a certain Cesar Chiong. Could he be the namesake of the airline executive making a comeback as General Manager of the Manila International Airport Authority? The certain Chiong was said to have arranged for the chartered plane, allegedly owned by his boss, Ramon Ang, owner of San Miguel Corporation.

How much was spent on that hastily arranged chartered flight is equally interesting.

Incidentally, the plane was found to be registered with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines as SMC G550 RP-C5219.

All told, the DILG chief’s disclosure proves former Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea is correct that the 79-year-old former President was simply kidnapped from his sovereign State.
