CCC underscores importance of information-driven action

MANILA – The Climate Change Commission (CCC) emphasized the role of information-driven climate action in addressing the urgent challenges of climate change at the recent unveiling of the South-South Collaboration Center of Excellence (COE) on Climate Information Services (CIS) at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) Central Office in Quezon City.

Too much ado over the Bicam Report?

Listening to the different “explanations” of people who should know the truth, we now have at least two different versions of the SIGNED Bicam Report.

One SIGNED Bicam Report with blanks was exposed by Rep. Isidro Ungab and former President Rodrigo Duterte during a podcast with Atty. Vic Rodriguez. Unnoticed at the time, it was mentioned earlier by Sen. Imee Marcos in a privileged speech on Dec. 16, 2025. This has since been corroborated by - of all people - Rep. Raoul Manuel in an interview with GMA 7.

FPRRD’s apples to BBM’s tomatoes

Don’t compare apples with tomatoes.

You've probably heard that line before. It’s what happens when people compare two different objects and draw conclusions from the flawed comparison.

Comparing apples with tomatoes is the strategy being applied by  Malacañang to counter the expose made by former President Rodrigo Duterte. In a Saturday evening podcast, PRRD denounced the Bicameral report on the General Appropriations Bill submitted to Malacañang for PBBM’s signature.

BBM fantasizing at nation’s expense

Contrary to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s pronouncement, the Marcos administration's instability has been on full display in recent weeks.

In case you forgot, the elite Special Forces of Speaker Martin Romualdez in the House of Representatives trampled on virtually every known legal and moral doctrine known to a democratic state in their haste to crucify ex-President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Sara Duterte.

BBM does a Pilate

If there is anything positive to come out of the impeachment case filed against Vice President Sara Duterte, it is the virtual confirmation that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is no longer president.

A day after the impeachment case was filed, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin issued a statement saying that “(t)he Office of the President has nothing to do with it.”

“(The complaint) is clearly the complainants’ independent initiative, and its endorsement the prerogative of any Member of the House of Representatives,” Bersamin said.

CCC: Pinoy youth, vital  to climate advocacy

MANILA — The Climate Change Commission (CCC) emphasized the critical role of youth in the fight against climate change during the Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week Seminar held at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).

As one of the most vulnerable nations to climate impacts, the Philippines continues to endure more severe typhoons, heavy rains, and destructive floods in various communities. This reality underscores the urgency of climate action and the importance of engaging the youth as future stewards of our planet.

Will BBM sacrifice Martin?

“As far as I’m concerned, it’s a storm in a teacup,” declared President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in a rare admonition of the House of Representatives’ fixation to impeach Vice President Sara Duterte.

It’s probably the first time BBM openly contradicted the HoR led by his cousin, Speaker Martin Romualdez, prompting speculations that all is not well between the two.
